SINGAPORE, 24 January 2018.  Dr Alexis Tam, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of Macao SAR, led a delegation to Singapore from 21 to 24 January to study Singapore's education and healthcare systems.  Secretary Tam was hosted to lunch by Minister for Health Gan Kim Yong, met Senior Minister of State (Health) Chee Hong Tat, and was briefed by officials from Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health in separate meetings.

While in Singapore, Secretary Tam also visited the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) headquarters, Health Promotion Board, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Women and Children Hospital.

Singapore and Macao share similar demographic challenges such as elderly care, delivering efficient healthcare for the society and continued education.  Through an exchange of visits, both sides could learn from and benefit from each other's experiences.
