HONG KONG, 15 March 2018. Head of the Civil Service of Singapore and Permanent Secretary (Prime Minister's Office - Strategy Group) Mr Leo Yip led a delegation of five Permanent Secretaries to participate in the 6th Singapore-Hong Kong Permanent Secretaries Exchange Programme held in Hong Kong on 14-15 March 2018. The civil services of Singapore and Hong Kong engage in regular exchanges to share our best practices and promote cross-fertilisation of ideas. The Exchange Programme is yet another platform where the senior leaders of our civil services discuss ways to advance our common agenda.
While in Hong Kong, the delegation called on Mr Matthew Cheung, Chief Secretary for Administration and Mr Joshua Law, Secretary for the Civil Service. They also engaged in a roundtable discussion co-led by Mr Yip and Mr Thomas Chow, Permanent Secretary for the Civil Service. The delegation also visited the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy at Tseung Kwan O, a state-of-the-art facility opened in March 2016 to provide training for firefighters and paramedics from Hong Kong and abroad.
