Jurong Bird Park inks Wildlife Loan Agreement with the Philippines for a pair of critically endangered Philippine Eagles marking 50 years of friendship between Singapore and the Philippines.

Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) has signed an agreement with the Philippine Department of Environment and Natural Resources for the loan of a pair of critically endangered Philippine Eagles. The eagles will be housed in Singapore’s Jurong Bird Park as part of a conservation breeding loan program under the supervision of an avian care team. This is the first time the Philippines is lending this national treasure to another country. The program is part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Singapore-Philippines diplomatic relations.
