The ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) and the European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner met on 2 March 2018 in Singapore for the Sixteenth AEM-EU Trade Commissioner Consultations. The Consultations were co-chaired by H.E. Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade) of the Republic of Singapore, and H.E. Cecilia Malmström, EU Trade Commissioner. The AEM-EU Trade Commissioner Consultations followed up on the progress of implementation of the ASEAN-EU Trade and Investment Work Programme for 2017-2018, development of a framework for future ASEAN-EU FTA and welcomed the convening of the 6th ASEAN-EU Business Summit on 2 March 2018.
