The first ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC) Meeting for the year was held on Thursday, 15 March 2018 at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta. It was chaired by Singapore’s Permanent Representative to ASEAN, Ambassador Tan Hung Seng, in his capacity as ACCC Chair for 2018. The ACCC is the ASEAN body coordinating the overall implementation of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025, to create
seamlessly and comprehensively connected and integrated ASEAN that will promote competitiveness, inclusiveness, and a greater sense of Community. The ACCC Meeting reviewed the status of MPAC 2025 initiatives and projects, as well as the medium term deliverables for 2018-2020. The Meeting also exchanged views on further strengthening cross-pillar coordination, monitoring and implementation of the MPAC 2025, and the preparations for the 9th ASEAN Connectivity Symposium in Singapore.
