The inaugural meeting of the Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure (LIB-SI) to coordinate the development and implementation of sustainable infrastructure-related initiatives under the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 was held on Wednesday,14 March 2018 at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta. The Meeting was chaired by Executive Director of the Centre for Liveable Cities (Singapore), Mr Khoo Teng Chye. The LIB-SI Meeting: (a) exchanged views on the projects currently identified under the MAPC 2025 Strategic Area of Sustainable Infrastructure; (b) the possibility of developing a work plan for sustainable infrastructure; and (c) potential challenges in implementing the initiatives. The LIB-SI representatives also had an Interface with the ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC), the ASEAN body coordinating the overall implementation of MPAC 2025, where they discussed means to enhance coordination between the two bodies and accelerate implementation of sustainable infrastructure initiatives.
