Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan welcomed the ASEAN Foreign Ministers back to Singapore on 26 April ahead of the 32nd ASEAN Summit. He gave them a short tour of the Gardens by the Bay before a working dinner to prepare for the summit. Read more about it here.
Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan recently wrote an op-ed, 26 April, on ASEAN’s need to be innovative and adapt to remain relevant in the face of increasingly complex challenges. “One of the key deliverables for the upcoming Summit is to establish an Asean Smart Cities Network (ASCN). The ASCN will be a collaborative platform for member cities to exchange best practices and urban solutions, as well as to catalyse bankable smart city projects.
