The 40th Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the ASEAN Foundation was held earlier today at the ASEAN Foundation premises. Established by ASEAN Leaders in December 1997, the Foundation’s key goals are to promote greater awareness of ASEAN and greater interaction among the peoples of ASEAN through participation in ASEAN's activities. The Meeting discussed the Foundation's efforts to engage ASEAN's youth and its other stakeholders, and future programmes ultimately aimed to foster a stronger ASEAN identity. The next Meeting of the BOT will be held in December 2018.
