Official Visit by Second Permanent Secretary (Foreign Affairs) (Social and Family Development) (Prime Minister's Office) (Special Duties) of Singapore and Singapore's Senior Official for ASEAN Mr Stanley Loh to Jakarta, Indonesia on 10 January 2020

Mr Stanley Loh, Second Permanent Secretary (Foreign Affairs) (Social and Family Development) (Prime Minister's Office) (Special Duties) of Singapore and Singapore's Senior Official for ASEAN, made a official visit to Jakarta, Indonesia on 10 January 2020.

During his visit, Mr Loh paid a courtesy call on the Secretary-General of ASEAN (ASG) Dato Lim Jock Hoi and separately met Director General of ASEAN Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesia's Senior Official for ASEAN Mr Jose Antonio Morato Tavares.

During the call on ASG, they discussed Singapore's contribution to strengthen the capacity of the ASEAN Secretariat under the Enhanced Technical Assistance Programme on the Strengthening of the ASEC (ETAP). ASG and Mr Loh also discussed priority areas of cooperation.

During the meeting with DG Tavares, they exchanged views on  the recent developments in ASEAN, including the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo Pacific and the  Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
