Singapore's Permanent Representative to ASEAN Ambassador Kok Li Peng attended the 2/2020 EAS Ambassadors' Meeting in Jakarta (EAMJ) via video-conference. The Meeting noted the progress of implementation of the Manila Plan of Action to advance the Phnom Penh Declaration on the East Asia Summit Development Initiative (2018 – 2022). The Meeting discussed the implementation of Leaders’ decisions and also exchanged information on regional development cooperation initiatives and security policies and initiatives. EAS Participating Countries shared their national efforts to address the COVID-19 outbreak as well as their contributions to international efforts to combat the pandemic. The Meeting also discussed the proposed outcome documents for the 15th East Asia Summit in November 2020.
