Permanent Representative of Singapore to ASEAN Kok Li Peng attended the 2/2021 East Asia Summit (EAS) Ambassadors’ Meeting in Jakarta (EAMJ) and the EAS Ambassadors’ Retreat on Regional Security Architecture on 18 August 2021. The EAMJ noted the progress of implementation of the Manila Plan of Action to advance the Phnom Penh Declaration on the East Asia Summit Development Initiative (2018 – 2022) and exchanged views on regional developments. At the Retreat, the EAS Ambassadors also reaffirmed the importance of upholding ASEAN Centrality in the evolving regional architecture.
