In lieu of the traditional in-person ASEAN Day celebration in Singapore, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan delivered a virtual ASEAN Day Message on 8 August 2021 to commemorate the 54th anniversary of ASEAN’s founding. Despite these challenging times, let us remember that ASEAN has come a long way and that together, we can overcome the challenges of our day, both great and small.
