PR Kok Li Peng attended the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR)'s meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Senator the Honourable Penny Wong on Monday, 6 June 2022 at the ASEAN Secretariat. The CPR congratulated Minister Wong on her appointment as the Foreign Minister of Australia. The meeting discussed ways to enhance ASEAN-Australia engagement and cooperation following the establishment of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership at the first Annual ASEAN-Australia Leaders Summit in October 2021. Both sides looked forward to the conclusion of the ASEAN Australia New Zealand Free Trade Area Agreement review by September 2022.
