Permanent Representative Kok Li Peng attended the meeting between Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) on 23 December 2022 at the ASEAN Secretariat. The meeting reaffirmed the continued relevance of ASEAN in the regional architecture and underscored the importance of ASEAN unity and centrality amidst geopolitical challenges. President Phuc reaffirmed Vietnam's support for ASEAN and expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing ASEAN Secretary-General Lim Jock Hoi.
