Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to Russia from 17 to 20 May 2016. PM Lee will visit Moscow from 17 to 19 May 2016, and Sochi from 19 to 20 May 2016 to attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit. This will be PM Lee’s first bilateral visit to Russia.
In Moscow, PM Lee will meet with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan, leading Russian business executives and senior government officials. In addition, PM Lee will meet with the Singapore community in Moscow.
In Sochi, PM Lee will attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations. The Leaders will review ASEAN-Russia cooperation and discuss its future direction, as well as exchange views on regional and international issues. PM Lee will also call on President Vladimir Putin on the side-lines of the Summit.
PM Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Senior Minister of State (Foreign Affairs) (Transport) Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister of State (Trade & Industry) (National Development) Dr Koh Poh Koon and senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
