1. Original Singapore Blue NRIC
2. Old & Current Passports that contain Singapore Employment/Dependant’s Passes endorsements and Re-Entry Permit endorsements
3. Entry Permit/Re-Entry Permit
4. Certificate of Identity (if applicable)
5. Malaysian Restricted Passport (if applicable)
6. A letter addressed to the Commissioner, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), indicating your wish to renounce your Permanent Residency status. All adult applicants must co-sign the letter. Please also provide your local contact number and address.
7. Any other relevant documents issued to you by the Singapore Government agencies such as ICA, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Manpower, etc.
For Male Applicants below 21 years old, please provide the following (contact a Singapore Overseas Mission to obtain the relevant forms) in addition to items (1) through (7) :
8. Renunciation of Permanent Resident Status application form
9. Sponsor’s Acknowledgement Letter
NOTES:
a) You will be informed by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority once your Permanent Residency has been successfully renounced. Processing time is approximately 6 to 8 weeks from the receipt of complete documents.
b) No fee will be charged for the renunciation of PR.
