CG Ong Siew Gay attended the National Day Dinner organised by the Shanghai-Singapore Business Association-Singapore Club Shanghai (SSBA-SCS) on 4 August 2012 in celebration of Singapore’s 47th National Day. Well-attended by some 500 Singaporeans and invited guests, the event also saw CG launch the Consulate-General’s new website as well as the month-long Singapore Restaurant Month.
In the national day speech delivered by CG, he urged Singaporeans to continue adapting to the rapidly changing global conditions, and for our companies to maintain their excellent reputations for credibility, competence and respect for the rule of law. CG also took the opportunity to update Singaporeans away from home on the latest developments in Singapore.
