NUS Greater Good Series - Liveable Cities, Urban Solutions - The Singapore Experience and Insights

        The first edition of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Greater Good Series  kicked off in Shanghai with a dinner talk on ''Liveable Cities, Urban Solutions - The Singapore Experience and Insights'' in Shanghai by renowned urban planner and architect Dr Liu Thai Ker on 14 November 2012.  

 

        CG Ong paid tribute to Dr Liu and highlighted some challenges faced by Singapore and China in the process of urbanisation. CG Ong's welcome address can be found here.  

 

        Dr Liu's presentation was followed by a robust dialogue session and well attended by prominent guests such as Ambassador Chan Heng Wing, Mr Edward Lee (Singapore's former Ambassador to Indonesia) and members of the NUS alumni. The NUS Greater Good Series includes outreach activities such as conferences and forums by eminent leaders aimed to raise awareness of philanthropy and its impact on society with a focus on Asia.
