Its order and cleanliness are a bit surreal, but Singapore offers entertainment on par with any theme park
Singapore presents a strange mix of contrasts. The city-state has a booming, entrepreneurial economy that is the result of meticulous central planning. It has more green space that almost any other urban area, yet the landscape is totally combed over and controlled. It is home to one of the world's most diverse mixes of people and several ethnic neighbourhoods. Yet for all that diversity the city feels very ordinary, and the mall reigns supreme.
