The Consulate-General and the Singapore Shanghai Business Association (SSBA) marked Singapore’s Golden Jubilee with a series of events in the past week.
The Consulate-General hosted our National Day Reception on 7 August 2015, with more than 400 guests joining us from the governments of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, as well as from the media, think-tanks and corporate sector. Guests-of-Honour at the event included (i) Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Vice Mayor Mr Jiang Zhuoqing; (ii) Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Madam Zhang Li Li; (iii) Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shanghai Committee, Economics Committee Vice Chairman Mr Huang Wei; and (iv) Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Foreign Affairs Office Deputy Director-General Mr Fan Yufei. The Singapore Shanghai Business Association (SSBA) held a National Day Dinner on 8 August 2015 with nearly 1000 Singaporeans and guests, while a live-screening of the National Day Parade for Singaporeans was held at the Pudong OCBC Tower.
