11TH SINGAPORE-JIANGSU CO-COOPERATION COUNCIL MEETING

Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat and Senior Minister of State (SMS) for National Development and Trade & Industry Koh Poh Koon visited Suzhou from 22 to 23 November 2017 to co-chair the 11th Singapore-Jiangsu Co-operation Council (SJCC) Meeting with Jiangsu Governor Wu Zhenglong and Vice Governor Chen Zhenning on 23 November 2017. 


While in Suzhou, Minister Heng and SMS Koh also called on Jiangsu Party Secretary Lou Qinjin where both sides affirmed the good relationship between Singapore and Jiangsu, and discussed how we can broaden bilateral cooperation, including cooperating on the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’. 


Minister Heng and SMS Koh also officiated the launch of BLOCK71 Suzhou at the Ascendas iHub in the Suzhou Industrial Park.  BLOCK71 Suzhou, launched by NUS Enterprise and NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute BLOCK 71 Suzhou, is an ecosystem builder and global connector that will bring together the start-up community of Singapore and China.
