Situation in Egypt - An Update

 

The nationwide curfew from 0200 to 0500 (local time) has been lifted with effect from 15 June 2011. The security situation had improved in general but we would continue to advise Singaporeans who want to visit Egypt to take the necessary precautions for their personal safety.

For their safety, Singaporeans are reminded to be alert, monitor the news closely, observe instructions from local security authorities and avoid areas of public gatherings and disturbances. If not already done so, they should eRegister immediately at http://eregister.mfa.gov.sg/.
