The Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore His Excellency Premjith S met the Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou on 01 April 2014.
During the meeting, His Excellency Zaazou and Ambassador Premjith explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector. His Excellency Zaazou updated Ambassador Premjith on the state of Egypt’s tourism sector, including new security measures to create a safer and more secure environment. Ambassador Premjith expressed confidence that Egypt’s security situation will continue to steadily improve, which would lead to a tourism rebound in the future.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore His Excellency Premjith S called on the Governor of Giza Governorate His Excellency Dr Ali Abdel Rahman Youssef on 5 February 2014.
Ambassador Premjith was impressed that the headquarters of the Giza Governorate which was gutted by fire last year has been fully refurbished within a very short period. During the meeting, Ambassador Premjith conveyed a letter from Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for National Development Mr Lee Yi Shyan inviting His Excellency Dr Youssef to participate in the 5th World Cities Summit Mayors’ Forum to be held in June 2014 in Singapore. The Mayors’ Forum is a premier annual event where leaders of cities come together to discuss challenges and solutions related to urban development and governance as well as share best practices to promote sustainable growth. His Excellency Dr Youssef and Ambassador Premjith also discussed the Governorate’s priorities and discussed possible areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of urban development.
