The Singapore Permanent Mission in Geneva hosted a reception in Zurich for the Singaporean community on Thursday, 23 January 2020 and the reception marked the first occasion where Prime Minister and Mrs Lee met the Singaporean community in Switzerland. As it was Chinese New Year eve, we celebrated by tossing Yusheng, as well as tucked into some of our Singaporean favourites Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Around 250 Singaporeans attended the reception, which was the largest gathering thus far. We wish to thank all Singaporeans who travelled to Zurich to celebrate the festive occasion with us and we wish all Singaporeans continued health and success in the year of the rat!

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Mrs Lee, Ambassador Tan Hung Seng and Mrs Tan, Ambassador Umej Bhatia and Mrs Bhatia, President of the Temasek Club Switzerland Ms Sumathi Selvaretnam and Vice President of the Temasek Club Switzerland Ms Anita Suresh led the crowd in the spirited tossing of Yusheng.
