The Vietnam – Singapore Training Centre (VSTC) will be hosting a training course on Development Strategies for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) from 12 to 16 August 2013 in Hanoi. The course, conducted by International Business Dynamics Pte Ltd, is sponsored by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the framework of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI).
2 The training aims to provide a framework for the government to develop policy solutions that engage the private sector to meet national SME development needs. The course will discuss about how the Singapore private sector has supported Government SME development strategies and programmes, including special initiatives targeting access to finance, provision of business development services and marketing support services. The course also aims to share the Singapore public and private sectors' collective practical knowledge and lessons learnt in conceptualising, delivering and managing value-for-money government programmes, projects and schemes for SMEs.
3 The course will be attended by officials from various agencies and major universities in Hanoi including Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam University of Commerce and National Economics University. Some provinces such as Quang Ninh and Thanh Hoa also send their officials to participate in the course.
