Temporary Translator/Interpreter/Research Assistant
The Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Hanoi would like to invite suitable Vietnamese nationals to apply for a 6-month temporary position of a translator/interpreter/research assistant at the Embassy.
Responsibilities
- Translate documents and other materials from Vietnamese to English and vice versa.
- Perform interpretation for staff at the Singapore Embassy.
- Monitor local media coverage and collate published materials (Vietnamese and English).
- Coordinate and conduct research work as assigned by the Embassy.
- Assist in other administrative duties including official visits and events organised by the Embassy.
Applicant should possess the following qualifications:
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- University degree with relevant experience.
- Reasonable IT and Microsoft applications knowledge. Knowledge on how to use software to present data would be beneficial
- Experience in translation/interpretation/research work would be beneficial.
