Notice regarding Hurricane Irma Update 10 September 2017

Hurricane Irma is forecast to continue moving over the western Florida peninsula through Monday morning, and towards southeastern United States late Monday, 11 September, and Tuesday, 12 September.


In addition to the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Florida, a state of emergency has also been declared in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama and Virginia.


Singaporeans in the path of the storm are advised to take the necessary precautions for their personal safety, including heeding the instructions of the local authorities, and monitoring local news.  Singaporeans are also encouraged to keep your family and friends updated on your welfare.  For the latest information on the storm, please visit the National Weather Service website at http://www.weather.gov and the National Hurricane Center website at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov.


The Singapore Consulate-General in Miami will remain closed on 11 September 2017.
