If you are staying at a hotel, please check with the hotel to ensure registration has already been done.

Do take care when taking public transport such as taxis. Do use reputable/reliable companies and take note of the taxi's identification number (not the same as the vehicle plate number) which is shown in a 4 or 5 digits alphanumeric display - this  can be seen on the windscreen of the taxi and the back of the headrest of the driver.

Police - 113

Note: The police stations in Vietnam may not operate 24 hours. The operating hours varies according to locations - you are encouraged to check with your hotel’s receptionist for the nearest police station and their operating hours. Do note that the emergency phone operators may not be fully conversant in English, so it is advisable to have a native speaker who can help communicate with the operators.
