Replacement of a Lost NRIC

The Consular Section of the Consulate-General cannot replace a lost Singapore Identity Card as replacement of the identity card has to be applied for in person at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) office.

Singaporeans who lost their NRIC in Vietnam should lodge a police report (and obtain a copy in English) and inform the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) office of the loss upon their return.

Application for a replacement can only be made personally at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). For full details and procedures on reporting loss of IC, please click here.

Singaporean citizens who have lost their IC are required to report the loss and apply for a replacement in person within 14 days.
